Visit Nara

This large patisserie and cafe is a bit far from Yamato-Takada Station, but it serves as a good starting point for a stroll by the river, especially in cherry blossom season. The space is dominated by an open kitchen, where you can see the patissiers at work. While cakes are the main deal here, they also offer healthy lunch sets such as quiche and salad, pasta and soup. All lunch sets come with a generous selection of sweets as well. Cake and coffee sets can be overwhelming in their generosity: this is dessert as a full meal.
