These toys are strictly non-digital, and very hands-on. This free museum is in a grand Edo-period house which has many traditional features, including hidden staircases, wooden shutters with a pulley closure system and a small tea room with original paintings.
The reproductions of Edo-era toys will entertain all ages, using gravity, simple pulleys and momentum. While the museum volunteers generally speak limited English, the toys are interactive and easy to understand.
