Founded by Prince Shotoku in the Asuka period, this temple with attractive gardens is said to have a miraculous cherry blossom tree that lives forever. Inside the main hall is an eleven-faced Kannon figure; a fine example of Kamakura period carving. There is an honesty box at the temple entrance for the admission fee.
