Visit Nara

Deep in a grove of cedar trees, this smaller shrine within Ohmiwa Jinja Shrine has a wonderfully mysterious atmosphere. Dedicated to medicine and healing, it houses a natural spring whose waters are supposed to have healing qualities. You can buy bottled water, but you can also bring your own plastic bottles to fill for free. This shrine is also a good place to start a climb up Mt Miwa.
