Kokuo Shrine

国王神社

This small shrine deep in the forest has a festival celebrating Emperor Chokei, who ruled in 1368. Every November 1, locals dress in traditional court dress and samurai armor, then proceed along the main road to the shrine. Many photographers gather to capture the striking parade.
